In this educational story, your child will not only come away with a delightful story, but a complete understanding on how the ear and brain function together in the art of hearing. The terminology may seem advanced for a child, yet it’s the terminology which will be the foundation to future understanding of anatomy and biology. With this foundation set a child’s knowledge will surely excel in the area of biology. Thank you for the opportunity to review this book. It was clearly written and well developed.

This was a great, informational - easy to read and understand, book! My 9 year old Great-Niece loved it. She was fascinated with the illustrations and the manner in which Nurse Florence presented the facts about "How We Hear things". I highly recommend it, to share or give as a gift to elementary or middle school students interested in the human body, science, biology, and the amazing sense of hearing! I read this book with my grandson, who is 8 years old. He found it very interesting to learn about how ears work. It was especially helpful to have the illustrations as some of the words were not easy for him to understand. The book really helped him to figure out things. He is interested in technical things and this suited him well.

I won this book as a goodreads giveaway. I really enjoyed the book. It's a simply storyline that concentrates on the anatomy of the ear. I respect the reason that he uses the correct medical terminology in his books. It was fitting for an elementary student, along with the illustrations, to inspire curiosity and hopefully a lifetime of learning in the STEM areas. I appreciate that it's a part of a series of books of this nature.

My 8 year old is very interested in learning about the human body. We received this book this week and she has already read it several times and says she loves it. She has shown me the illustrations of the inner ear and has been able to tell me all about how everything works.

We just read this book as we were doing school. My son is 10 and he loved the illustrations he said they reminded him of some of his favorite anime pictures. I liked that it used the correct terms he now thinks we should get the other books because he liked it so much. Good children’s book easy read.

Excellent book! Very easy to understand. I, as an adult, learned new facts and I think children of all ages could learn a lot from it. This book was a Goodreads Giveaway win!

Well-written book for kids that teaches about how we hear things and communicate with others. It uses some technical terms and drawings of the inner ear, but presents the information in a way that kids and adults can both understand it. The book also does a good job of putting this into a narrative/story format that makes it interesting instead of just offering information. The drawings are also great, too.

I won this book in a giveaway and was super excited to read it to my two year old. Although some of it was a bit advanced for him, he absolutely loved it and makes me read it to him all the time. The way this book explains how we hear is both in-depth and simple to understand for older children. I would one hundred percent recommend this book to anyone who has kids and I’ll be keeping an eye out for more by this author.

I thought this book was very informative for children and gave great pictures and information to them regarding hearing and how it really happens. I look forward to passing this book onto a child who is interested in science.

Delightful! Easy to learn from and great illustrations. My 4-year-old twins pointed to the pictures and were able to stay focused long enough to read the book. A win and a good read.

Wonderful book to explain to children. Covers a variety of things that involve the ear from sound waves and parts of ear to making sure you wash your hands to prevent getting germs. The story follows Sonia recognizing she is having trouble hearing her friend. She listens to her inner voice telling her that something may be wrong and reaches out to the trusted Nurse Florence. She shows how easy it is to do a google search to explain how ears hear. I read it to my 8 year old daughter and she really liked it.

I think this book series is great for kids to learn about health issues. This book adequately explains in terms an elementary school child can understand how pain works in the body. Bravo!

This book is a cute and educational way to explain how we smell to small children. I like that they use medical terms to get the right information to the kids.

This is an excellent book for young readers to understand basic info on how we hear. It was explained at an easily understandable manner and would be very helpful helping children learn.
